The Glen Lonan Strathspey

My Tunes – Strathspeys

Glen Lonan was always one of my favourite glens in North Argyll so in 1997 I gave its name to two matching tunes, a Strathspey and a reel. This was long before I found myself living at the entrance to the glen.

The tunes actually started out as a commission (which never came to fruition) to commemorate the 1500th anniversary of St Columba’s death. On this page is the Strathspey, the reel can be found here.
