In recent years I have developed a particular interest in the traditional bagpipe music of Scotland from the 18th and early 19th centuries, and especially the tunes that were, or may have been played on the bellows blown Lowland or Border bagpipes. Some of these tunes have been in my repertoire for many years but it’s only more recently that I have given much thought to their provenance.
