Rottenrow, Glasgow, G4 0GE | Approx 2 acres
One of Glasgow’s newer city parks, built on the location of Glasgow Maternity Hospital which was closed in 2001. Just 400m from Queen Street Station this terraced park is on a steep hill. There are grassy areas with seating and paths through hedged areas where remnants of the Victorian building are displayed. Notable is the George Wylie statue of a giant nappy pin with a bird perched atop. The park is owned and surrounded by The University of Strathclyde so is popular with students.
